Portfolio 8 Oakville

Tasked to rebuild an existing landscape that is partially degraded and out of order. The two existing pillars are awkward and the rest of the space is disorganized and lack, on many levels, any sense of appeal. The detailing is poor and so is construction quality.

We resolved the points mentioned. In keeping with the budget without compromising on quality, we decided to keep the natural stone steps, and replaced wall, pillar coping with similar materials for the front entrance. More touch-ups came through in planting and sodding, providing the front space a well-rounded appearance and enhanced utility.

We approached the back yard in a simplistic style, with clearly defined areas and connecting them via contemporary patterns of interlocking stones and grass, eye clean and maintenance friendly. Overall, it is an intimate and functional retreat that strikes the perfect balance between home owner’s objective and budget. A win-win.
